CIAS 2009 tuckers out

Today was the opening day for the 2009 rendition of the Canadian International Auto Show and the show had something for everybody. The promoters and sales people shined up their cars and catered to anyone who was willing to listen.

Exhibits, displays and cars spanned three buildings. As one would expect, the cars on display included hybrid, fuel-efficient, concept, race and luxury cars. The green theme wasn’t pervasive but it had an adequate presence.

The two most popular areas of the auto show involved Smart cars and Ford trucks.

The person who drives a SmartCar is saying “Yes I love to support worthy causes and I want my children to have a clean and bright future. I don’t get any tickets because I follow all the rules of the road and I snitch on those that don’t follow the rules”

There are those that prefer trucks like this Ford Raptor.

This type of person says, “Rules of the road? What road? Rules and roads are for sissies. Get out of my way before I run you over!”

The end of the day was nearing and I hadn’t yet relieved myself. Fortunately I came across a high-tech toilet called the Urinator. My hopes quickly faded when access was denied. The gentleman there told me that this Urinator was a pre-production model and that no flushing mechanism had been installed. Hopefully you won’t pee your pants like I did. Oh well.
